On December 6-7, 2020, after almost a year of preparation, representatives of the specialty came together at the fourth Starfield Summit to review the past and present, and to envision the future of Family Medicine residencies. Our goal was to provide input from the discipline to the development of the next version of ACGME Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Family Medicine, expected to be implemented in 2022.
