Now Available: 5-Year Cycle Registration

Registration for the new 5-Year Cycle is now available to Diplomates with an exam requirement due in 2025. Although your exam requirement is due in 2025, you do not have to take the one-day exam and instead will begin the longitudinal assessment (exam) as part of the 5-Year Cycle on January 1, 2025.

Once you complete your current 3-year stage requirements, you can register within your MyABFM Portfolio. The new and improved registration process takes 20 minutes or less to complete and can be accessed by following the steps below.

1. Log in to your MyABFM Portfolio.

1. Navigate to the My Requirements section of your dashboard and click NEW! Register for Next 5-Year Cycle. Please note, this option will not be available until all your current 3-year stage requirements are complete.

1. Click Begin Registration.

Completing registration early ensures you can begin the longitudinal assessment (exam) and access certification activities on January 1, 2025. To avoid late fees, please complete registration by February 28, 2025.

Early Access to the 5-Year Cycle

If your current stage ends December 31, 2024, and you are not currently enrolled in the longitudinal assessment, you may be eligible to transition to the 5-Year Cycle early which includes the longitudinal assessment (exam) option for meeting your exam requirement.  For more information, please visit your MyABFM Portfolio or contact the ABFM Support Center at 877-223-7437 or help@theabfm.org.
