ABFM Announces the Launch of the New MyABFM Portfolio!

MyABFM Portfolio is a new and improved website designed to provide a convenient, easy to navigate, personalized tool for Diplomates to track their progress with continuous certification, lifelong learning, and professional development in family medicine.

The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) is pleased to announce the launch of the redesigned MyABFM Portfolio. MyABFM Portfolio (previously Physician Portfolio) is a new and improved website designed to provide a convenient, easy to navigate, personalized tool for Diplomates to track their progress with continuous certification, lifelong learning, and professional development in family medicine.

Designed by physicians and for physicians, ABFM had one goal in mind in developing the MyABFM Portfolio: improve the experience for Diplomates by making continuous certification and requirements easier to understand.

“Being a part of the test group for the new MyABFM Portfolio provided a valuable opportunity to share feedback throughout the redesign process,” said Lauren S. Hughes, MD, MPH, MSc, State Policy Director, Farley Health Policy Center, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Associate Professor of Family Medicine, University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine.  “The end product is a practical tool that allows Diplomates to expeditiously track their progress and remaining requirements, easily identify activity options such as the new COVID-19 and Health Equity PI activities, or the recently revised KSAs, as well as find answers to frequently asked questions in one convenient location.”

MyABFM has been updated with a fresh new look with a Personalized Dashboard displaying all relevant information up front allowing Diplomates to track their progress and remaining requirements as quickly as possible. Additional features include:

  • Knowledge Center – provides access to help and support, verification letters, volunteer opportunities and more.
  • Search Capability – searches the entire MyABFM Portfolio based on keywords to locate information faster without browsing.

ABFM created a How To Guide to help navigate the new site, as well as a series of MyABFM Portfolio Video Tutorials located in the Help & Support section inside the new Portfolio.
