If your exam requirement is due in 2025, you will soon begin the new Continuous Certification 5-Year Cycle. You are NOT required to take the one-day exam before you begin the 5-Year Cycle.

Instead, you’ll complete the longitudinal assessment to meet your exam requirement. You will begin the longitudinal assessment on January 1, 2025, if that is the year your exam is due.

When participating in the longitudinal assessment, you will answer 25 online exam questions every quarter over three to four years until you have reached 300 total. You can choose whatever day, time, and location you wish to answer these timed questions. You can use references just as you would in your own practice, and you will receive immediate feedback on what you got right or wrong.

If your exam requirement is due in 2025, registration for the 5-Year Cycle is now available in your MyABFM Portfolio.

We’re here to help! If you need assistance logging in or have any questions related to the 5-Year Cycle, please contact the ABFM Support Center at 877-223-7437 or [email protected].
