November 7, 2024 ABFM staff was excited to visit with Diplomates in person at this year’s American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) FMX conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Each year, we bring our program staff to assist Diplomates with their certification requirements and to share how they can become more involved with ABFM through volunteer opportunities. This year, a key focus was helping eligible Diplomates learn more about their transition to the new 5-Year Cycle that will begin January 1, 2025. Another focus was the opportunity to reach out to ABFM Diplomates who are passionate about ABFM and board certification and invite them to be part of our A Higher Standard campaign. Participating Diplomates are featured on ABFM’s public website along with their testimonial about why board certification is important. The campaign, launched earlier this year, is an initiative designed to increase awareness and educate the public on the importance of board certification. If you are interested in participating in our A Higher Standard campaign, contact us at media@theabfm.org. We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by to ask questions or just say hello. Thank you as well to the ABFM Diplomates who volunteered to have their photo taken or provided feedback.
