Introducing the Redesigned ABFM Public Website

We are very excited to share the newly redesigned ABFM public website. Our main goal was to improve the overall visitor experience by making it quicker and easier for visitors like you to find the information you need regarding board certification.

Other improvements include an updated look with a simplified color palette, streamlined navigation with more descriptive labeling, general search enhancements, the addition of filtering and sorting capabilities for research articles, and the addition of a resident resource section. We reduced the long paragraphs of text and reorganized the information into more digestible sections with visuals that allow visitors to quickly scan the page on both desktop and mobile.

You will notice photos of real board-certified physicians featured on the home page and throughout the website. This is an effort to increase awareness of family physicians who are proud of their specialty and committed to a higher standard of care through ABFM Board Certification. We want to share the importance of choosing an ABFM board-certified physician with the public. We also added a Pathways to Certification section to help visitors who are not yet board certified identify their best path to board certification. Additional content and articles will live in the News and Insights section, where visitors may find the latest certification news, general announcements, and a repository of blog articles that highlight new research, Diplomate Spotlight articles, and other work by family physicians that supports the advancement of the specialty. Finally, to ensure visitors can find us through Google and other search engines, we optimized the website for searchability.
