Visit booth #2007 to learn about the new Continuous Certification 5-Year Cycle and participate in ABFM’s Higher Standard campaign. September 19, 2024 The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) is excited to attend this year’s FMX Conference, hosted by the American Academy of Family Physicians in Phoenix, AZ, September 24-28. Members of ABFM staff will be in The Xchange at booth #2007 throughout the event to help answer questions about your certification requirements and share ways you can become more involved in helping to promote board-certified family physicians. ABFM recently announced the new Continuous Certification 5-Year Cycle to meet ABMS Assessment Standards for Continuing Certification. Beginning on January 1, 2025, all ABFM Diplomates will transition to the 5-Year Cycle in the year their next exam requirement is due. Stop by the booth to talk with ABFM staff who can share when you will transition to the 5-Year Cycle. ABFM staff will also be at the booth to offer ABFM Diplomates the opportunity to have their photo taken as part of our Higher Standard campaign. The Higher Standard campaign is an ABFM initiative created to increase awareness and educate the public on the importance of board certification and to show our appreciation for more than 106,000 Diplomates. As part of the campaign, your photo may be featured on ABFM’s website, in educational handouts, and on social media. Look around our website to view the current Diplomates already being featured.
