Certificates of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in adolescent medicine, geriatric medicine, and sports medicine are time-limited for a period of ten years. Should the diplomate's primary certificate in family medicine become invalid due to non-renewal, revocation, etc., the CAQ certificate also becomes invalid.
